Yoshino Cherry This japanese cherry is best known for the Cherry Blossom festival in Washington D.C. The flowers are pale pink to white and blooms in spring. It is a moderate to fast grower with smooth grayish brown bark that matures to gray with large corky lenticel lines. It likes full sun and makes a good shade tree in time. It prefers well-drained moist slightly acidic soils.
