Chinese Elm
A native to Japan and China, the Chinese Lacebark Elm has a rounded, vase-shaped crown. The foliage is small and elliptical with a dark green color that turns yellow in fall. The mature bark exfoliates to random mottled patterns. It is a moderate grower with moderate drought tolerance. It can tolerate partial shade and is useful for urban areas with poor conditions. A great choice for residential and parking areas.

Allee elm is an upright-spreading tree similar in shape to american elm. The bark exfoliates in a puzzle-like pattern exposing light gray and orange brown colors. The lustrous green leaves create a dense canopy and turn to a subdued yellow in fall. This tree can withstand drought and is highly resistant to Dutch elm disease.

Introduced by Tree Introductions, Inc., Bosque is a wonderful chinese elm selection. Bosque has a central dominant leader with strongly ascending secondary branches, a pyramidal shape and a fast growth rate. Leaves are a lustrous dark green with a nice yellow-orange fall color. It works well as a street tree because of it's upright shape.
