Chanticleer' Pear
This pear is a moderate to fast grower with clusters of soft pink buds that open to showy white flowers. It blooms from late winter to early spring and is attractive to birds and bees. It has a better limb structure than 'Bradford', and it is narrower and has an upright-pyramidal form. Dirr cites it as his favorite of the callery pear cultivars. 'Chanticleer' can be used as a specimen tree, screen tree or in above-ground planters. Pruning is critical to develop strong limb and trunk structure. Read More--
