This maple is a hybrid between Acer rubrum & Acer saccharinum. It grows much faster than other Acer rubrum cultivars and is more drought tolerant. Autumn Blaze has one of the best and longest fall color displays available in the south. It is more resistant to leafhopper and other insects due to it's rapid growth.

This maple has a good oval-rounded form with tight branches. One of the dominant cultivars specified, it can have spectacular fall color when conditions are right. Trident Maple
Trident maple is a nice smaller maple. It works well as a small patio or lawn tree and can even be planted in planter boxes. With many attributes of the larger red maples, trident maple works well in well-drained acidic soils. The leaves are tri-lobed and have a nice red fall color. Trident has no serious disease or insect problems.
