Okame Cherry Introduced by Collingwood Ingram, Okame Cherry is the one of the first trees to bloom on our farm. The carmine-pink petals are fully open by late February and remind us that spring is just around the corner. It has a nice bronze to orange-red fall leaf color. Okame is almost broad-columnar when it is young and grows into a more rounded shape with age. The shiny reddish-brown bark is very nice in winter. It is a fairly rapid grower, as well.
