Nuttall Oak The Nuttall Oak is a native to the eastern US and has alternate, simple, coarsely lobed leaves. New growth is reddish and matures to dull, dark-green leaves. It has orange to scarlet color in the fall and is a moderate to fast grower. Nuttall Oak maintains a rounded crown with minimal pruning and has dark gray-brown bark. It is a great choice for parking lots, lawns and specimen plantings.
