Eastern Red Cedar An evergreen native of the eastern US, Redcedar is upright and columnar in shape with medium to dark green foliage. A moderate to fast grower it has a high drought and salt tolerance. It requires well-limed, well-drained soil and full sun. It is useful as a specimen, naturalization, screen and in group plantings with other species. It can grow to 45 feet in height.
