Cercis / Redbud

Redbud makes a a great single specimen or can be used in groupings and works well in naturalized settings.  It can tolerate light shade and has reddish purple buds that open to a rosy pink early in April.  Mature size is 20 to 30 feet high and 25 to 30 feet in spread.

This purple leaf redbud is a popular addition as it produces the rosy pink blooms in spring and brilliant purple leaves in late spring.  Probably the best purple colored foliage available.  Mature size is 20 to 30 feet high and 25 to 30 feet in spread.
