This maple has a very strong upright habit.  While it may reach a height of 50 feet, the spread of the canopy will only be about 15 feet at maturity.  Perfect for streetscapes or areas where a narrow upright habit is beneficial.  It can withstand tough urban environments and fall color is more yellow than red.

Aeryn trident maple is a faster-growing clonal cultivar.  It is tough enough for urban environments and has a nice upright oval form.  It will withstand partial shade.  This cultivar is highly consistent with dark glossy green leaves that turn a consistent yellowish orange in fall.  Mature size is 30 feet high and 25 feet wide.

Trident maple is a nice smaller maple. It works well as a small patio or lawn tree and can even be planted in planter boxes. With many attributes of the larger red maples, trident maple works well in well-drained acidic soils. The leaves are tri-lobed and have a nice red fall color. Trident has no serious disease or insect problems. Mature size is 30 feet high.

This maple is a hybrid between Acer rubrum & Acer saccharinum. It grows much faster than other Acer rubrum cultivars and is more drought tolerant. Autumn Blaze has one of the best and longest fall color displays available in the south. It is more resistant to leafhopper and other insects due to it's rapid growth. Mature height is 45-50 feet.
